Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty Operation Process

All the necessary blood tests and general anesthesia tests are performed before the operation. Following the examinations, our patient is examined by the anesthesiologist and if there is no condition which may be an obstacle to the operation, he/she is taken into operation.Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty procedure is performed under general anesthesia and the operation time is around 2 – 4 hours. Following the operation, our patient is woken up in a private wake-up room in the surgery room under the supervision of a doctor and taken to his private room after being kept under observation for a while. Afterwards, the patient is kept under observation by specially trained ClinicPlast nurses within the hospital, 24/7. After the operation, patients stay in the hospital for 1 night with the guidance of their doctors. When our patients are discharged, they are given all the drugs they need and instructed about how to use them in detail. 3 days and 6 days after discharge, medical redressing and doctor check is performed. For our patients from abroad, at least 1 week stay in Istanbul is recommended for Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty operation. An amazing revolution is taking place in rhinoplasty, namely Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty turkey has become extremely popular in the recent years. Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty is based on the principle of “piezoelectricity” which utilizes ultrasonic sound waves to emulsify bone with concurrent irrigation and suction enabling precise, graded bone removal under direct visualization without thermal or mechanical injury to the surrounding soft tissue or mucosa. This allows surgeons to correct minor irregularities and asymmetry, and major deformities, such as a severely deviated nasal spine.

Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty Post-Surgery Process

After a rhinoplasty surgery, a thermoplastic splint is applied if nasal bone structure is reshaped. Also, if a crooked nose is fixed, a silicone tamponade is placed. Both the thermoplastic splint and silicone tamponade are removed 7-8 days after the surgery. In the early stage of post-surgery, it is recommended for the patients to apply ice compression under the eyes so that the swelling will reduce. After rhinoplasty surgeries, the patients must use a nasal spray. Nasal spray includes sea water. It is recommended for the patients to use a nasal spray for around 3 months as it helps intranasal cleaning and swelling reduction. For 6 weeks, the nose should be protected. Also, the patient should neither sleep on the face nor wear eyeglasses.
